Siphiwe Mtshali, popularly known as Zamani Khoza in South Africa’s top show, Generations, will be leaving the series soon.
Mfundi Vundla, Executive Producer, announced his departure today, saying:
“It’s a cyclic thing: Siphiwe is a very talented young man, but every now and then our cast grows too big and then we’re not in a position to create stories for all the characters. We decided that the character of Zamani must make space for some new and exciting stories we’d like to develop with some of the other characters. He’s a major talent destined to go far”.
Mtshali joined Generations in October 2005 and has worked closely with Sipho Ngwenya, his on screen brother Ajax.
“We wish Siphiwe all of the best for the future. He’s a great actor and I enjoyed working with him for the last year. He will be sorely missed,” says Psyfo.
